I oversee all engineering/design activities that occur at Sterling Ranch, a 3700+ acre master planned community in Douglas County, CO. My job is to assist with the planning/budgeting, design, entitlement/permitting, and land development (constructing finished lots) required to deliver an anticipated 12,000+ single-family homes, multifamily developments, commercial/retail/industrial uses, regional parks, community amenities (rec centers, etc.), open spaces, schools, and transportation/infrastructure improvements that are included in the Sterling Ranch Master Plan - - and to do so on-time and on-budget.In order to accomplish this, I work closely with Douglas County staff, the Planning Commission, Board of County Commissioners, a large team of design consultants & contractors; as well as our numerous stakeholders which include: The Sterling Ranch Community Authority Board, Dominion Water & Sanitation District, Xcel Energy, CORE Electric, Denver Water, Aurora Water, and many others. I also regularly conduct public outreach and lead community meetings.Additionally, I assist with land acquisition pursuits to add to the assemblage of the master plan, participating in due diligence, underwriting, and preparing memos/presentations for investment committees.

At Kimley-Horn I was a project manager for residential and commercial development projects. My project experiences ranged from large master-planned residential developments and mixed-use centers, down to single-lot commercial projects and infill sites - across the western United States. At KHA, I was a “seller-doer”. I marketed, conducted due diligence, proposed/budgeted, and contracted new projects. I served as the main point of contact with a client and municipality to lead entitlement efforts. I led public engagement, including neighborhood meetings, Planning Commission, and City Council presentations. I managed design teams, which often spanned multiple disciplines (land development, transportation, hydraulics/hydrology, landscape architecture, lighting & MEP, survey, etc.) to produce the necessary deliverables throughout the life of a project – from Acquisition/Investment Committee/Due Diligence --> Annexation/Zoning/Entitlement --> Preliminary Design --> Construction Documents --> Construction --> Closeout/Acceptance.I mentored and coached members of my team to continually improve and assume more responsibility. At Redland, I was a civil engineering/land planning consultant for real estate development projects. I did civil engineering design, project management, entitlements, due diligence, and construction administration for land development projects.My project experience included: commercial/residential master plans, retail, restaurant, infill, mixed-use developments, TOD, single-family residential, multi-family apartment developments, industrial facilities, office, education, self-storage sites, and healthcare facilities. I assisted professors & graduate students in the civil/structural engineering department. The primary focus was the research of carbon-fiber-reinforced-concrete. I helped mix/cast/test concrete forms using varying mix & reinforcement design. I helped compile, analyze, and summarize test results for use in graduate papers & presentations. This culminated with attendance/presentation of findings at the ACI annual meeting in Minneapolis.And as a side-project for the City of Denver, I helped with the monumentation and dedication of the 19th St Bridge to Bill Melton, in honor of his 35+ years of service to the City.
