The Knowledge Institute’s mission is to promote access to higher education and impactful skills development in Eswatini and beyond.

We assist and advise the Allan Gray Orbis Foundation on expanding and deepening their presence and impact in Eswatini.

As an education partner, we provide MTN EduCare with information on local and international education institutions and opportunities.

Brokered a partnership with the Times of Swaziland to publish a weekly, full-page feature on education and career opportunities, with a focus on universities, scholarships, and international institutions. This column is published every Wednesday.

The Knowledge Institute’s flagship initiative, the Swaziland Young Leaders Fellowship Program, is a competitive fellowship with only 30 spots which seeks out and develops the academic and career talents of young Swazi students, at the same time providing leadership training with a particular focus on entrepreneurship, civic engagement and financial literacy. The first 30 candidates have been chosen and are currently undergoing the six months training, which started January 2014 and will continue until June 2014. Fellows follow a custom curriculum that draws from similar programs around the world, and through a Socratic method of learning, transforms fellows from students to leaders with a particular purpose - in health, education, business, policy, technology, engineering - that they want to fulfill in Swaziland.

The Anzisha Prize is celebrating Africa’s youngest, most innovative entrepreneurs, between 15-22, who have created ventures that have a positive impact on their community. 75,000 USD in cash prizes and 10,000 USD for renewable energy ventures distributed between the 12 finalists. The objective of the partnership between The Knowledge Institute and the African Leadership Academy Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership (Anzisha Prize) is to enhance growth of promising entrepreneurs in Africa by promoting the prize to a wide audience.
