In addition to being the former CEO of a cleantech startup (water), I help technology businesses, particularly very early stage companies ("start-ups") with innovative technologies or services - in Singapore and overseas, to create and increase sales in familiar and new markets. I have worked in technology hardware, software, and services (understanding the common and distinct sales issues of all three marketing domains). Much of what I have done is solid Sales and Marketing but with a creative twist and a fresh approach that makes things happen. For example, I have:* Been intimately involved in the development of new products and technologies - both in hardware and software applications. Strong interest in user experience and enhanced interfaces.* DIscovered and exploited new applications of fairly established products and opened new markets.* Developed new channels and channel-partners for a company that was being exhausted and overstretched by its direct sales approach.* Presented successful sales propositions to all levels of customer organizations: C-level as well as technical. In a sense, my career has progressed from selling/marketing analytical instruments (which generated critical and timely information for process industries) to software (which used that timely information and other data to save companies money) to services (where the firm provided assistance in making decisions that saved companies money).Specialties: coaching, mentoring, business/market development, startups, market research, marketing, advertising, US sales, international sales, drafting and writing of magazine articles, creating synergistic company partnerships, contract review, expert witness testimony (draft and oral), process industries, computerized optimization, computer software interface development, presentations, public speaking, training.
