In his role as Senior Advisor, Lance advised the the company on regulatory oversight, private and public reimbursement for qualified patient services, and data analytics for healthcare related services. Lance worked across all stakeholder groups including providers, company physicians, medical directors, the FDA for compliance and legal frameworks connected to the corporate practice of medicine (CPOM). The role involved research and expert analysis of key revenue cycles from patient concierge services that are cash-based payments to private insurance payors, to reimbursement programs like Medicare, Medicaid and other Federal and State healthcare grants. Lance influenced numerous outside partners to enlarge the Company’s addressable markets including how value based medicine could create better health outcomes for patients.

As Cyphre’s CEO, Lance has built an innovation culture that is focused on solving Internet safety – that is our why. Using lean start-up principles, he leads Cyphre while routinely working with the company’s advisors to develop strategic relationships and the science behind Cyphre’s patent pending BlackTIE® technology.

Mr. Smith focused on enabling revenue leading SVY from prototype into manufacturing into market. His responsibilities included strategic partner enablement centering on distribution and manufacturing for server technologies. He lead the engineering and manufacturing teams who supported the complex supplier integrations for efficient product production ensuring maximum scale capabilities.

As a Dad and competitive entrepreneur, my energies with our youth will focus on STEM education in the areas of robotics. This will lead to the development and support of the next generation of ideation that will expand visionary thinking and supportive technologies to cure cancer and develop space exploration to name only a few use cases. One might ask how robotics connects to cancer research. Ask me. It is a super awesome story involving UT Southwestern Medical School, high school students, NASA, Oribital, SpaceX and a series of robotic events to achieve a near zero gravity lab experiment to conduct cancer research. A pay-it-forward moment in my service experience. A true privilege as a community member and a world citizen.

Focused on further entrepreneurial achievement at Horizon Data Center Solutions (a.k.a. VAZATA) my focus was on the development of a data center and managed services centric business model. The end result, after three years post launch, was $120MM in various forms of capital, moving from one market to two major markets and expanding our service stack from colocation to advanced cloud hosting. My roles included, founder, COO, President, CEO and Board Director. As a result, I was responsible for many aspects of the business. From capital acquisition strategies, to legal matters, to operational process development, I was actively involved in developing Horizon Data Center Solutions, LLC (now VAZATA) into the business that it is today.
