Designed and implemented solutions for transferring machine data to down stream systems that scientists and breeders use to evaluate experiments. The solution had to be scalable and expandable as load increased drastically after the first year. I directed the adoption of new technologies on the team. Some of the new technologies we adapted were redis, nextjs, and aurora Postgres.Headed up the adoption of unit tests and code overage in testing. Brought the team up from no unit tests to 100% coverage on our new applications.Worked on creating cloud formation scripts to deploy infrastructure to AWS cloud resources.The applications and technologies used are node.js, typescript, react.js, Postgres, redis, jest, cloud formation.

Lead a team of developers tasked with bringing up legacy applications to modern security practices. The applications were a mix of full framework .Net and node applications. When working on the .Net applications, we ported them over to .net core and hosted them in AWS. Designed and tested a rollout plan to ensure downstream applications were not brought down.Worked with the business owner to craft user stories to enable fellow developers to achieve the deadlines and goals.

Worked on an application enabling planners to setup activities in various growth stages of planting and harvesting. The application was deigned to replace a legacy tool that was not meeting new requirements. While building the new application we had to ensure that the old requirements were still met with the new code.The application has a react frontend powered by an express js rest api. Data was stored in a Postgres RDS instance. All the hosting was done in AWS.

• Worked on a custom made application that allowed users to create custom forms and store the information into the web application. This data can be surfaced in a reporting database.• Used Lucene and knockout.js to enable users to search the data entered into the forms.• Developed a security permission system that used roles to secure forms and questions• Developed a referencing system that allows questions to reference other questions on another form. This allows forms to have selections based on answers from another form.• Deployed and upgraded multiple instances of the web application on multiple sites.• Lead the development of a team of 2 other developers. This allowed the engineering staff to analyze the data from beta sites in real time from remote locations.

 Created and maintained web programs that were used for the sales and service force to communicate with the corporate staff with asp.net and ColdFusion. Helped develop the public website by building the framework used by the web designers.
