2004 to 2006Portal Project Manager having full leadership and accountability for the successful implementation of a collaboration and communication platform for business units within Symbol Technologies to drive efficiencies and effectiveness through the SAP Enterprise Portal. To accomplish this, worked closely with the various business unit leaders to define portal requirements. He successfully led the portal team, consisting of six consultants and six company employees, throughout the implementation of CRM Opportunity Management, Employee Self-Service and Manager Self-Service, cRoom functionality, TREX (search) functionality and Knowledge Management (KM) functionality. This SAP implementation effort included the integration of eleven existing intranet sites into the portal KM platform.Selected accomplishments:Built a governance model for Portal, completely streamlining and optimizing team interaction with key constituents. Established and led Community Managers in implementing an industry portal, providing team members with a centralized means to access pertinent information.

While at Top Tier was involved with pre-sales consulting and proof of concept portal implementations. Was certified for all levels of the Top Tier Portal technology. When Top Tier was purchased by SAP, Geoff joined SAP's Midwest Portal Implementations Team. As a senior consultant with SAP, he led numerous Enterprise Portal v5.0 efforts including customers such as Dow Corning, Wrigley, Entegris and Molex.
