As an outreach & engagement specialist, I helped teams of engineers at the National Cybersecurity Center of Excellence (NCCoE) build communities of interest to inform and ultimately adopt industry specific practice guides, which in turn help the nation's businesses to be more cybersecure. As an inclusion and diversity activist, I began spearheading an Autism@Work pilot at MITRE to recruit folks on the autism spectrum to work in cyber.

As EA to the Portfolio Director, the Portfolio Manager and several Project Leads, I had the privilege of making everyone's lives easier and was afforded a great deal of influence on the daily running of the center and on employee morale. With the help of a small team of admins, I set up and integrated systems, planned, tracked and reported on those systems and planned and executed engaging employee events (like mocktail parties, Pi Day celebrations, trips to Nationals' games, etc).

Administrative assistant at the new Federally Funded Research and Development Center for the National Cybersecurity Center of Excellence. As a subcontractor for MITRE through D2D, I helped establish and maintain the administrative systems that keep the FFRDC running smoothly to this day.

As the automotive concierge, I helped customers get ANYTHING they needed related to their cars as quickly, easily and inexpensively as possible. I scheduled appointments, gave estimates, communicated needs with vendors, mediated with insurance companies and kept customers updated on the progress of their vehicle's work. As marketing manager, I also helped with creating documents and marketing materials, leveraging social media and networking on behalf of MemberCar.

I ran the web development team, managed web development projects and provided customer service. I also created training materials and taught our clients and other picoCMS users how to understand and use their own website.

I make stuff happen.I also train clients to use their newly minted, custom built, easy-to-update websites.

Filling roles wherever I was most needed, I worked various years in the nursery and as assistant teacher in the 3 year old class and in the 4 year old class.

These years were spent fundraising, prepping for and serving in church planting missions in East Africa.

Starting as weekend relief and moving on to 5 days a week in the home, my husband and I managed and maintained a home with 8-10 developmentally disabled adults in a live-in arrangement. Duties included everything from housekeeping to medicine regulation to counseling, transportation, food prep, seizure management, outing scheduling, and conflict resolution.

Duties here included seating patients, arranging and cleaning instruments, taking and processing x-rays, assisting in basic procedures, traveling to outlying clinics and handling scheduling in those clinics.

File clerk duties at this oil pipeline company included not only filing, but also delivering files, sorting paperwork, copying and covering receptionist duties when necessary.

A summer job, working at St. Teresa's was quite an experience. The summer school program at St. Teresa's served the purpose of keeping the emotionally disturbed children who lived at the home in a routine. Training included courses in Prevention and Management of Aggressive Behavior, First Aid and Seizure Management.

Beginning in an office administrative role, I moved into sales as I gained experience "helping out" when a sales associate was not available.

As a small import store, my duties at The Import Store ran the gamut from assisting customers in finding items to cashier to sweeping floors. Though I left for college in mid 1990, I returned over Christmas break to help with the shopping rush.
