Co-authored the Issue Brief on Disparities in Headache, which includes an overview of existing data on what is known about disparities in headache care; identifies questions and areas that need more research; sought out case studies, and explores strategies that have proven to be effective in other disease areas to overcome health disparities; and developed an initial roadmap for progress in eliminating health disparities in headache medicine and greater inclusion in the headache patient community.The Disparities in Headache Advisory Council (DiHAC) was born from the need to address the inequities and systemic racism of the American healthcare system. DiHAC served as a cross-functional group of patient advocacy organization leaders, BIPOC headache patients, and healthcare providers. As a co-leader, I was tasked with identifying and supporting solutions to racial health disparities in headache medicineas well as diversifying the engaged headache patient community.

Jaime’s unique story details the many gaps in healthcare people from marginalized groups with headache disorders face when seeking care and treatment. The Migraine Diva has been featured on Good Morning America, PBS, and USA Today, interviews with Whoopi Goldberg and Khloé Kardashian on The Migraine Diva blog, and is the co-author of the Disparities in Headache Medicine Issue Brief published by the Coalition for Headache and Migraine Patients.The Migraine Diva, LLC has provided consulting services for Biohaven, Abbvie, HealthyWomen, and the Coalition for Headache and Migraine Patients and served as a keynote speaker for Amgen. The Migraine Diva, LLC adds value to organizations' and companies' missions, visions, and goals through consultancy and speaking engagements.
