The On Deck Designer Fellowship is a community for ambitious designers who want to hone their skills, increase their impact and grow as leaders. During the program, I learned more about design leadership and connected with other ambitious designers across the globe.

Joined to build a community-driven marketplace for wine in the US.• Designed reusable marketplace components for rapid experimentation and testing• Helped drive the product roadmap by contributing product pitches• Contributed to user research by facilitating 10 remote user interviews• Designed an MVP that helped secure funding for our seed round• Facilitated the first iteration of Vinebase’s brand design & style

Joined to help build engaged local communities in The Netherlands.• Established design principles that aligned the product team with leadership for higher quality decision making• Designed a library of 100+ components that helped the company scale to 50 platforms and to 500.000 users• Led and owned research and design for multiple high-impact projects like main navigation, front page iterations, local business features, and site administrator tools• Established a North Star Metric, and contributed to a data-driven culture by building KPI dashboards and by analyzing quantitive and qualitative data• Collaborated with developers to design, test, and ship a great number of projects• Designed the mijnbuurtje logo mark and a large collection of marketing materials

Started during college to build a portfolio platform that connected students, teachers, and companies in The Netherlands.• Conducted 100+ client presentations and negotiated contracts with 5 Dutch Universities• Spent 7500+ hours on customer support and customer success• Owned design for 6 iterations of the product, with the final iteration built as a Single page React app consisting of 130+ components• Contributed to a product strategy that helped grow the company to 10.000 users
