Primary focus was to share the research, methods, and findings of my research on fmoc-amino acids with students across the country. Events initiated after ABRCMS 2021.II. “First in the Family” Main Panel Speaker➢ Main Panelist for outreach conference targeting first-generation, minority students pursuing Bachelor and Ph.D degrees in the sciences. Particular emphasis on introducing research programs and entry-level resources for student enrichment in the sciences. Focused on connecting with first-generation students with particularly difficult backgrounds. Participated twice on panel, once during the 2020 year and then again in 2021.III. Undergraduate Research Advocacy Representative➢ Representative for the undergraduate research programs at California State University, Long Beach. Emphasis on NIH-RISE and NSF-LSAMP advocacy. The program targets CSULB and nearby community college students to promote research opportunities for under-represented minority and low-income students.
