I joined FVA, a collective research group for the drive technology industry and a subsidiary of the Verband Deutscher Maschinen- und Anlagenbau (VDMA), to take responsibility for all English-language content, specifically focusing on the FVA Workbench 4.0 software program. I am a member of a small team, working in German, using ISO 9001 Certified clean code development processes to produce software for the calculation and simulation of gear units. I am continuously improving my German skills and increasing my knowledge of engineering and software development.

After leaving Deutsche Telekom at my own will, I took some time off to spend time with my dying father, get married, improve my German skills, and travel the world.

Bonn Area, Germany

I came to Germany just before DT delisted from the New York Stock Exchange and assisted with the transition from a SOX-404 control environment to a new Internal Control System. I provided project management support to 11 business units and played a central role in integrating the Greek OTE Group into DT’s processes, acting as a cultural buffer between very different cultures. My proudest achievement was transforming English communications; before I joined, English-language materials were an afterthought for the group. I took over responsibility for English internal communications, trainings, and documentation, greatly increasing their quality and usefulness for colleagues all over the world.

Greater Seattle Area

I joined T-Mobile to work in the SOX program. I collaborated with colleagues throughout the business to identify and develop key business controls, trained program participants on documentation and testing, and provided project management to ensure that deadlines were met. I also performed quality assurance reviews and worked with control owners to improve testing and documentation standards, helping T-Mobile USA to achieve the highest standards within the entire DT Group.

Greater Seattle Area

I joined Moss Adams, one of the 15 largest public accounting firms in the U.S., after moving to Seattle. I learned a phenomenal amount, working with many clients on a wide variety of projects. I worked with my clients’ senior management and technology staff on IT assessments, service audits, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, and disaster recovery planning in various industries. I managed multiple projects simultaneously while traveling extensively, including international engagements in Mexico and Malaysia.
