As Security Programme Manager for VMO2 I plan the security programme in line with our desired target state and strategy, ensuring we are investing in the right areas to support our security objectives and reach our target maturity level. I support project financial approval and delivery. I also manage the delivery of our company-wide security maturity assessment, utilising the results to guide future investment. I am supported by my previous experience including as Information Security Manager (Compliance) for Telefonica O2 UK Ltd. As ISM, I managed and maintained our Information Security Management System in support of our business and security objectives, ensuring effective management of risk to the confidentiality, integrity and availability of our information, in addition I managed our Cyber Essentials Basic and Plus certification, and supported SOC2 audits of our Smart Metering Environment. In my previous role I managed penetration testing business-wide at both a strategic and operational level, leveraging effective vendor management and organisational skills to deliver penetration testing in support of internal and external requirements. My career in Information Security is supported by a background in law enforcement and investigation for Northamptonshire Police and Telefonica O2 UK Ltd, investigating crime and incidents in multiple specialist areas such as organised crime, major investigation, financial crime, cyber-crime & information security, internal investigations (serious gross misconduct, whistleblowing).
