Overview: Accounting consultant with over two decades of experience in specialized bookkeeping, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and custom accounting software.I wanted to be an accountant since I was in the first grade. It was career day at my elementary school, and the police department gave a presentation to my class. The police officer was tall and muscular, and he spoke with authority. At the end of his presentation, I eagerly raised my little hand and asked him how much money he made. Within a blink of an eye, I saw the officer's demeanor change. The adults scolded me. I felt I was in trouble; however, I did not understand why. The next moment, my teacher imparted some much-needed wisdom: “Little Audrey, do not ask grown ups how much money they make”. To which I replied, “Yes ma’am”. I believed her gentle warning was an attempt to conceal money problems faced by all adults. In my six-year-old heart, I believed that if I understood money, then I could solve the problem. This was the key event which led me to accountancy.I have many accomplishments. If I had to highlight one, it would be my education. I am a recent graduate with honors. I now hold 5 degrees in business, economics, art & humanities, social & behavioral sciences, and STEM with an emphasis in Engineering. My future plan is to continue my education in Business Analytics and Law.I have created solutions big and small. Generally, I love solving problems from an accounting perspective because I love seeing businesses flourish to make a positive impact on the world. One way I have helped a business flourish is the development of my inventory-recovery system. I created a system that recovered over $350,000 USD in unbilled merchandise in one (1) day. My system proved successful, and it made the company more attractive to investors.
