Currently flying for DHL Air UK as a First Officer flying global routes on the Boeing 767. Previously operated for a small regional airline based in the Channel Islands providing a lifeline link to mainland UK along with scheduled charters through the summer months into Germany, France, Spain and The Netherlands. I was pleased to become a nominated Flight Safety Officer in addition to my usual First Officer. Initially obtained a Diploma in Aviation (Airline preparation strand) at Nelson Aviation College, this enabled me to gain a New Zealand Frozen ATPL. First time passes were achieved in all Practical and theoretical exams. This course was run in conjunction with Air New Zealand and culminated in 25 hours flight time in a 737-319 FFS. In 2017 I made the decision to move back to the UK in search of that first job. This meant I had to complete the full conversion of my New Zealand Licence to a UK frozen ATPL. This was completed modular alongside full time work between 2017 and 2019. I completed the 14 UK ATPL's with Bristol Ground School (Average 88% pass rate). The practical side of the conversion involved a 15 hour CPL course and a 45 Instrument rating course, at Bournemouth Commercial flight training. From the years leading up to beginning flight training and then through the modular training I have held various job positions including, Safety Net Rigger, Building Labourer, Kitchen assistant and Delivery Driver. These roles enabled me to continue to fund my flight training and career in Aviation as well as offering me the chance to gain other skills and qualifications.
