Learning is a complex human skill. One that thrives when the learner is highly motivated and the teacher creates the best conditions in which the individual can learn. My professional career started in the Royal Netherlands Army where I served two tours in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The time in the army taught me to lead and make individuals work as a team.Next, I became an Air Traffic Controller for the Royal Netherlands Airforce. I worked as an ATCO in Approach for some 5 years in which I completed the On-the-Job-Training-Instructor and Remedial Training courses. Having discovered a new talent and passion, to help people learn, I transitioned to the Initial Training section where I started as an ATC instructor. One-to-one training and coaching as well as classroom training have been my main responsibility for a couple of years.I am a personal coach. I followed an extensive coach training at Schouten en Nelissen. In addition I am able to lead projects after following a project management course also at Schouten en Nelissen. I have developed entire courses from the ground up. I deliver, maintain and evaluate those courses. I deliver the OJTI, OJTI Refresh, Remedial Training and TRM courses. At my current posting at Eurocontrol MUAC, I fulfill the job of Training Expert and Competence Assessor.
