Over 19 years of in-house counsel experience resolving legal matters. Commercial transaction and employment law focus, assessing and mitigating risk while promoting profitability. Provided employment and labor law counseling to HR leadership; effectively engaged in pre-litigation contract dispute resolution; set policy; resolved regulatory agency complaints; managed outside counsel; and supported strategic business expansion. Investigated allegations of discrimination, harassment, and misconduct; resolved OSHA and EEOC complaints, appeared before administrative bodies on unemployment hearings; conducted employee counseling, discipline, exit interviews, and terminations; drafted and implemented corporate governance policies, document retention policies, privacy policies, as well as emergency action procedures; assisted with securing IP protection of multiple trademarks and a patent; and provided day-to-day guidance at various levels of personnel to ensure optimum productivity and achievement of company objectives.
