Interfaced daily with the BrightSource project team, Owner’s representatives, SRSG supplier’s Project Engineers, vendor TA’s, contractors and BrightSource’s home office engineering group. Supervised specialized construction activities performed by the EPC Contractor. Administered the issue of, response to and resolution of RFI’s and NCR’s. Supported commissioning activities including boiler chemical cleaning, steam blows, initial flux application, flux ascension and SRSG testing. Provided engineering guidance and critical input on engineering, design and construction issues not addressed in contracts and provided essential input to the BrightSource project team for the management of service and equipment sub-contracts, change orders, back-charges and potential cost issues. Managed major modifications to the boiler panel insulation systems at all three SRSG’s. Worked as SRSG Consultant by supporting project development for emerging projects overseas and supporting operations, maintenance and annual outage planning for the SRSG’s at Ivanpah. -

Oversaw EPC Contractor’s engineering, procurement and construction activities and vigorously enforced compliance with the EPC contract, design codes and industry standards. Flagged deficiencies in construction, issued construction quality surveillance reports and negotiated the re-work of construction and equipment installation. Motivated EPC contractor to implement changes and improvements in design and construction to the benefit of NV Energy. Responsibilities included all those assigned to the Harry Allen Combined Cycle Project, and was Project Engineer for out-of-scope projects, including the Tracy Station, integrated water treatment plant and the fuel gas regulating station for the new power block. Managed the entire scope of site preparation for the new power block, including the decommissioning, sale, removal, relocation, salvage, demolition and disposal of existing structures, equipment and utilities within the construction area. -
