Theodore Dawson earned his Masters degree in Social Work from Wayne State University in 2021. Following his graduation, he relocated to New York City, where he dedicated his efforts to supporting at-risk adolescents and young adults in the foster care system. His commitment to fostering positive change across all boroughs of the city led him to work as a functional family therapist. In this role, he provided case management, referrals, and counseling to families experiencing communication issues, sexual abuse, and physical abuse. Additionally, Theodore has experience working with diverse populations, including the elderly, the LGBTQ community, and individuals with developmental delays, and those experiencing homelessness.Theodore’s long term professional goals include earning a Ph.D in social work and pursuing a career in Academia.
