Responsible for the health, welfare, professional development, training safety and discipline of 140 Soldiers; assisted and advised the Commander on all enlisted affairs, personal issues, promotions, leaves, UCMJ actions and Alcohol and Substance Abuse Prevention; sets and enforces high standards of conduct, training and physical readiness; responsible for supervising all activities in support of the unit's mission; ensured timely NCOER submissions and assisted the Commander in property accountability of over 6.5 million dollars’ worth of equipment.

Facilitated management of an Engineer Battalion consisting of four geographically dispersed and two on-site companies in a Joint Inter-Service Training Review Organization (ITRO). Served as a senior instructor responsible for an environment that trained more than 9,000 Service members, Sailors, Airmen and Marines annually; to include Army specific 21R Electricians, 21T Soils and Surveyors, 21W Carpentry and Masonry Specialist and 21K Utilities Apprentice Military Occupational Specialties (MOS's) and all mandatory training conducted through the unit Blackboard site. Supervised all aspects of division operations and training; assisted with the professional instructor certification of Vertical Skills Division (VSD). Provided advice and made recommendations to command and staff on all matters pertaining to military, civilian personnel, and their families. Accounted for equipment, supplies and funds valued in excess of $25 million. Supervised maintenance of an 113,000 square foot training facility and monitored daily actions in the battalion and enforced established policies and standards.

Served as the First Sergeant for an Advanced Individual Training (AIT) Construction Engineer Company; responsible for the health, welfare , morale and training of more than 1200 Soldiers annually; overall responsible for the mentoring, coaching, and professional development of 43 permanent party NCOs and Soldiers; oversees the daily management of administration, counseling, logistical support, and physical readiness of assigned personnel; enforced standards of conduct and training; provides advice to the commander on enlisted matters; serves as the principle advisory to the Company Commander on all matters; directly supervises seven AIT Platoon Sergeants.

Serves as an Instructor/Writer for the 12N Equipment Operators Course, Scraper Annex. Responsible for assisting the Annex Chief in day to day operations, consisting of supervising, instructing, testing, and counseling over 3000 AIT Soldiers annually; provided guidance, professional growth counseling and mentoring for three military instructor and four civilians daily. Review and recommends updated to lesson plans and student handouts. Responsible for the maintenance, accountability and safe operations of three training areas, nine 621B Scrapers, Four D7F Dozer and 12 radios valued over $2,000,000.
