Duties included creating and maintaining e-mail accounts, troubleshooting client connectivity issues, managing the help-desk queue related to e-mail problems, preparing system availability reports, and establishing standard work policies and procedures for the e-mail support team.

Network Engineer for multiple Novell NetWare 6.0 servers running ZENWorks for Desktops 3.2 and Novell GroupWise 6.5 e-mail and scheduling system. Duties included creating and administering users, printers, servers, groups, and all other Novell Directory Services objects, managing e-mail system, monitoring storage space and proposing future upgrades for servers. Responsible for installing, upgrading, and updating server hardware and software. Also supported and maintained desktop and laptop systems running Microsoft Windows 2000/XP and Microsoft Office products.Accomplishments included upgrading Novell servers from operating system version 4.10 through 6.0; upgrading GroupWise e-mail system from version 4 through 6.5; installing and implementing Novell ZENWorks for desktops; and researching viability of implementing GroupWise WebAccess, Novell iFolder, Novell iPrint, and Novell NetStorage.

Employed as second shift Computer Operator for IBM 4381 Mainframe, an IBM 9370 VSE Spooling Machine, and 2 IBM AS/400 Machines. Duties included monitoring daily job flow, report printing and distribution; performing system back-ups; assisting users with hardware and software problems; and assisting System Analysts with job error recovery. Gained experience with TSO, CA-7, and Roscoe software packages; and operated various magnetic tape drives, printers, and forms bursters.

Employed as second shift Computer Operator for three IBM AS/400s and one IBM System 38. Duties included scheduling and submitting batch jobs for processing, report printing and distribution, performing system back-ups, assisting users with hardware and software problems, and preparing reports on system performance.
