Email us at groundswellchange@gmail.comTheodosia Cook, Co-Owner and Principal Consultant of Groundswell Change LLC began her career in the classroom as an 8th grade teacher in an underserved community. She led professional development efforts for teachers and solidified a passion for marrying strategy and personnel skill development. She has served as a board member for the Posse Foundation and Friends and Returned Peace Corps Volunteers of Guyana. After receiving her graduate degree, she expanded her focus to higher education where she drove greater organizational awareness by applying principles of diversity, inclusion and equity to organization development, adult learning, and instructional design to create systems and initiatives that bring the very best out of people and organizations. As a senior executive in higher education, she has led the Campus, Climate, Culture Initiative (C3I) at Dartmouth College. There she worked to develop programs to address the harm revealed through one of the nation’s largest Title IX class action lawsuits. She was a co-principal investigator for an HHMI (“Howard Hughes Medical Institute”) grant and NSF (“National Science Foundation”) Advance grant. She has also worked with the Governor of New Hampshire’s Office to advise on statewide racial and economic equity initiatives. She has also served as the Systemwide Chief Diversity Officer for the University of Colorado’s four-campus institution. There she was responsible for leading system-wide initiatives and policies for the University’s over 100,000 faculty, staff, students, and alumni.
