What a journey it's been. And it's far from over. And I couldn't be more excited.I think many people who begin the Christian walk don't realize how rocky it can get. They also don't realize until some time later that the bumps in life are what you climb on. In 2012 I got diagnosed with cancer. It launched me on a new leg of the journey, fixing my priorities, focusing more on family, and putting God first when I had thought He was already. It's also what gave me the permission to take my first tentative steps into become an entrepreneur. My first company was in the tech space, where I combined automation with cultural change. My second company was with my wife Charlotte, called Exactly Zero. My third company is this one: podcastify.me. What started off as an extension of automation nerdiness aimed at the podcasting space, has become an entirely new creation. What originally was just another way to create content, podcasting has become a powerful way to gain support. And I didn't realize it until I was well into my own podcasting journey. Once it clicked though, I realized: I'm meeting hundreds of people directly, simply because I have a show, and thousands indirectly through my and their network hearing about it. I'm also building amazing relationships in record time simply by having the time and space to spend with another person. It's resulting in business, partnerships and referrals for me. And it's doing the same for my clients. Now I'm focusing all of that experience in a new direction: the missions field. While we aren't missionaries ourselves, we're in the space a lot. Charlotte's family serves and lives at a Bible camp. Our church supports about a dozen missionaries (and a few more indirectly too).As a homeschool family, we teach our girls stories about the legendary missionaries who had a huge impact. This next leg of the journey is where all of the experience and skills get aimed at helping a mission make easier work of the challenges that they're facing, in gaining support, attracting missionaries, educating churches about the mission, and getting God's Word to the world faster. Maybe that mission is yours. It's too much to get into in 2600 characters, so if you'd like to hear more, let's chat. Schedule time at https://podcastify.me/missioncast for a zero-pressure chat about how this works.
