Theo Koury, MD, is President of Vituity, a multispecialty physician owned and led partnership of more than 7,000 doctors and clinicians serving over 11 million patients annually.In his role as President, Dr. Koury is responsible for executing the enterprise strategy by developing and managing infrastructure necessary to achieve Vituity’s mission of empowering healthcare providers to improve lives across more than 300 service locations nationwide. While achieving record-breaking growth and financial strength, he's ensured Vituity continue to deliver exceptional patient care. Dr. Koury is also focused on advancing care delivery through innovative use of technology while assuring newly developed services and corporate partnerships are built on a strong foundation and successfully integrated with existing services. Fostered by his first-hand experience on the front lines of care as an emergency physician, Dr. Koury emphasizes clinical integration, operational efficiency and technological innovation across the organization and within the hospitals and health systems Vituity serves. By focusing his leadership team in these three areas, he oversaw a $15 million spend reduction within his first year as President.Since joining Vituity in 1997, he has held a variety of leadership roles from Medical and Regional Director to Vice President and Chief Operations Officer. Dr. Koury has also served on Vituity’s Board of Directors, responsible for developing long-term corporate strategy and inspiring steadfast support for Vituity’s mission to be at the heart of better care.Interests and passions outside of healthcare executive leadership, health technology, practice management and care integration include running marathons, traveling and spending time with family.
