To my great pleasure, I was asked to teach a first-time new course to a class of undergraduate seniors at Woodbury University, a private, non-profit, coeducational, nonsectarian university located in Burbank, CA. Though small, the University is venerable having been founded in 1884.Four years ago, the University launched a degree program called Media.

Panoram was a world renowned premier developer, integrator and suppliers of advanced, high-resolution, large-scale data visualization systems for oil/gas, manufacturing, engineering, aerospace, scientific and military/government applications. With Theo Mayer's unique vision on the application of new technologies, the company became an industry leading.

From 1977 to 1993 Theo Mayer was the President of Metavision, a high-tech media company aimed at “the application of new technology for entertainment and communication”. At the company he was also the writer/producer for a variety of trend setting and award winning projects including nearly a decade of working on the creative development and attraction.

In 1973 Theo Mayer was hired by Japanese tape recorder manufacturer, TEAC and became part of the launch team for a spin-off called TASCAM. These companies changed the recording industry by commoditizing the recording studio to be within reach of every star struck musician hoping to catch their break. Mr. Mayer’s role was somewhere between product visionary.

Theo Mayer began his career as a studio musician, producer and recording engineer in the fervent Los Angeles music scene of the early 70’s. His knowledge of the then newly introduced Moog Synthesizer offered him opportunities in both commercial and creative directions. Theo still sometimes secretly records and produces under the pseudonym "Mister Buster";.
