Crystal Miller Lay is the Chief People Officer and Executive of GBS Worldwide, an end-to-end Talent Attraction Firm specializing in employer branding, recruitment marketing, media management, and organizational talent transformation. When the pandemic hit, Crystal saw a deepened need to help employers better understand the psychological shift happening with workers and so returned to school to pursue a Masters in Leadership and Organisational Innovation through the University of Wales, specialising her research in EVP, Employer Brand and the employment gap for the Neurodiverse Workforce. In 2025, Crystal will finish a second Masters of Science in Industrial Organizational and Business Psychology from the University of Wolverhampton. In 2023, Crystal conducted the largest known study of its kind on neuroinclusion, researching the gap in EVP development, specifically as it applies to those with disabilities and the neurodiverse and is continuing her Doctoral research in Cognitive Neuropsychology with UWTSD. As part of her commitment to community outreach, Crystal runs the teen group and teen parent support program for the Freddie Ford Family Foundation, supporting teens and families with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). With this group, Crystal conducted research investigating the prevalence and perceptions of bullying for students with ASD in Missouri schools for her graduate project with Partners in Policymaking, associated with the Missouri Developmental Disabilities Council. This research study was published September 2023, and members of the teen group worked with Crystal to create educational resources and handouts for educators, lawmakers, and community members.
