I am the Vice President of Data Engineering and Software at Seer, a biotechnology company that develops breakthrough technologies for proteomics analysis. I have over 20 years of experience in building and leading data science and data engineering teams to innovate in hard problem spaces, spanning telecommunications, finance, and biotechnology.At Seer, I joined as the first full-time employee and helped grow the company to a successful >$3B IPO in under three years. I designed and built the next generation of cloud native proteomics pipelines and software, integrating nanoparticle protein coronas with liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry for efficient proteomic profiling. I also built and retained a talented team of data scientists, data engineers, and bioinformaticians, using a servant-leader approach and enabling them to perform at maximum efficiency and autonomy. I am passionate about finding elegant solutions and eradicating inefficient business practices, and I subscribe to the agile philosophy of delivering value early and often.
