Chief Technology Officer | CofounderTopspin Technologies Ltd. Jan 2011 - PresentLondon, Ontario, CaI believe that every amateur athlete, professional athlete and service member can be supported in reducing their risk of concussions through proper training and continued research. Over my 20 years of practicing physiotherapy in sports medicine I have looked for innovative ways to help my clients achieve their goals. I have played and coached football at the University level and trained athletes at all levels of sport. I’ve seen the devastating effects traumatic brain injuries/ concussion have on the lives of young athletes. I know what it takes to train hard, but in hindsight I also recognize the risks I was willing to take as an athlete to finish the game, the season, or my playing career. I’ve now recognized that as a young athlete, I couldn’t appreciate the potential long-term implications I was creating every time I pushed the envelope and put myself at risk. I’m driven by passion to empower the athletes to have agency in protecting themselves from injuries like concussion. I believe with proper training we can make ourselves concussion resistant. I want all of us to build concussion resistance and improve our athletic resilience through partnering with our players, parents, teams, coaches, owners and our community.
