A career is an interesting concept. Does it cover simply the work roles? Does it include what we learned along the way? What is career success? Is it the accomplishments, the financials, or both? Does it mean moving up the corporate ladder to the top? Does it mean picking up knowledge and expertise along the way? I was lucky to have worked in many industries - drinks, entertainment, equipment, construction, education ….I was lucky to have worked and lived all over the world. I was also lucky to have worked with some really inspiring and interesting people. I had a lot of fun also. Did I make a difference in the roles I had? Did I improve the organisations I worked for? I am privileged to be at a stage in my career now to be able to share a lifetime of knowledge and experience to help a variety of people in a variety of industries. "Those who make a difference in this world are the ones who are not afraid of thinking or being different"

Managing DirectorUniversal Music Group Polygram Jan 1990 - Dec 1997Dublin & LondonThis decade was the heyday of the record business. CD's were just invented and the threat of the Internet was not there yet but then PolyGram was sold by Philips Electronics to MCA/Universal (Edgar Brofman Jr) and susequently sold to Vivendi. I was blessed with working with big successful and very talented international artists - U2, The Cranberries, Van Morrison, Hot House Flowers, Def Leppard, Wet Wet Wet, Texas, Luciano Pavarotti, Bryan Adams, Chris deBurgh, Paul Brady, The Chieftains, East 17, Bananarama, INXS, Bon Jovi, Dina Carroll, Juniper (BellX1), and many more. Not to forget my last signing - Boyzone who were signed directly to the Irish office and went on to sell 13m records - giving Louis Walsh his big break in the music business.
