My current hyperscale projects provide new power systems that include full Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems with N+1 redundancy levels or greater plus backup generator systems in the event of a local utility failure. In case of a power outage, batteries turn on immediately, followed within 8 seconds by the generators which can power the entire data centre.

Data Centre Team Update - We are currently working on a number of data centre new build and refurbishment projects including the replacement and upgrading of LV, MV CRAC and chiller installations. We manage the entire process from the initial building survey to the completion of the project.We are responsible for the obtaining approvals from all third parties such as the Landlord, Building Control and the local Planning Authority to ensure their consent for the works. We are also involved in a number of European wide schemes for large international IT companies looking for data space in various locations across Europe.Our aim is to ensure that all aspects of the project process have as accurate and up-to date cost data available to inform the client, and proactively work within the contractor and design team to prevent unnecessary expenditure and add value at all times.A truly innovative, independent building and project consultancy. Construction of submarine CLEM (Cable Laying & Embedding Machine) in McNulties Yard. Following sea trials I was promoted to submarine controller for the cable laying phase of the project between England and France. Two lays of two cables were laid (by the British team) with an undersea length of 46 kilometres between Folkestone and Sangatte. Submarine Controller. Controlled cable laying operations between England and France. 2,000MW DC link connecting both grid systems.
