Bringing my invention to the market. The Prong was created out of a fit of incandescent rage when I broke the handle and bent the tyne on a brand new garden fork that I had just spent $80 on. I reasoned there had to be a better way. As is the case with invention the idea of a single tyne garden fork that was all steel and had a heap of leverage would work. Guess what? It did! The Prong was a finalist in the National Innovation awards and has been picked up by the Home Hardware and Thrifty Link chains. Great start for a great product. I have re-positioned my business model to spend more time helping clients build their sales plans and techniques. I really believe that many firms have forgotten how to sell. It makes me so cross to see good marketing money spent on getting customers to the counter or into the shop only to be met with poor sales people. You cannot blame if you do not train. I have now been kept very busy with this new positioning of my business.
