[Startup: "GridData", Acquired by Trimble in 2001] - Developed one of the world's first entirely web-based SaaS mapping and location-sharing platforms to enable fleet managers to manage, track, and optimize their vehicles to dramatically increase transparency, efficiency, and safety while minimizing liability, delays, and costs.* Developed web-based interactive mapping and work order management applications that could run out of the web browser (taken for granted today, this was a novel concept in 1999) * Consumed all functionality through documented APIs that posted XML over HTTP, which were also managed as "Products" themselves so other third-party developers could create value for our customers through integration with their offerings (also a novel concept at the time). * Experimented with Motorola/Nextel's first Cellular Location Based Services to leverage GPS in cell phones as a user agent for mapping and location sharing in 2001.
