Community bridge builder! Nova Southeastern University is a hidden gem with many wonderful stories to tell of our accomplishments. We strive to ensure each student realizes his or her full potential while here. We are training the next generation of leaders.To help our future leaders, I find philanthropic supporters to fund projects and scholarships so we can together address issues near and dear to both our hearts. In short, we solve problems.Additionally, I am charged with expanding NSU's footprint at our regional campuses with local community leaders, generating lifelong philanthropic support for Nova Southeastern University.

• Led the identification, cultivation & stewardship of donors and prospects seeking to include American Heart Association in their estate plans.• Offered tax-advantaged strategies to donors within paradigm of their charitable wishes.• Networked with other professionals in the area to foster collaboration vis a vis our shared clients and/or estate planning donors.• Covered entire state of Florida for fifteen months until second Director was hired.

• Reestablished stewardship of organization's top donors (Tocqueville Society) and oversaw fundraising for all donor affinity groups.• Exceeded overall fundraising goals for the year for all major donor programs.• Built strategic partnerships with centers of influence to garner estate gifts.• Led restructuring of donor database to improve data quality; promoted database usage across departments.

• Directed the marketing, cultivation, solicitation, closing and recognition of individual gifts (bequests, trusts, annuities, securities, real estate, life insurance and other deferred and outright gifts). This included direct mail, seminars/presentations, advertising, special events and other opportunities as identified.• Seamlessly led ongoing operations of Individual Giving Office after simultaneous departures of Director and Associate Director in 2010.• Hired, trained, and supervised program staff for purpose of generating leads, recognizing opportunities, cultivating relationships, and ultimately closing gifts for PVA.• Oversaw the Individual Giving database, bequests database for estates in probate, and gift annuity administration. • Provided direction, training and coaching for the Planned Giving Committee and Advisory Committee. Interacted with chapter leadership and the Board of Directors to educate them about planned gifts and to promote the program.• Consolidated and streamlined fundraising techniques for all staff while improving revenue growth and maintaining the Individual Giving Program budget.• Closed major gifts via personal meetings with individual and foundation supporters.

• Cultivated, stewarded and solicited major donors for charitable contributions.• Managed Annual Giving program for all staff and created Top Donor Program. • Wrote and edited fundraising appeals and gift acknowledgements; wrote queries for donor target segments.• Volunteered at PVA functions: Annual Gala, Golf Tournament, Poker Tournament, Veterans Day.

• Coordinated multiple direct mail projects for multiple clients during entire life cycle. • Determined best data segments of mailing lists for optimum rates of return.• Met weekly with CEO and 2 Vice Presidents for revenue tracking and suggested improvements.

• Acted as liaison between political campaigns and marketing vendors, negotiated bids, and oversaw account development. • Communicated daily with various political campaign account contacts. • Designed specifications for direct marketing materials. • Monitored and tracked revenue of marketing sectors.

• Solicited funds from direct mail donors reaching $150M. • Designed, edited, and proofread marketing materials ensuring accuracy of information. • Coordinated with vendors during entire life cycle of each direct mail project (multiple ongoing consecutively). • Produced monthly donor contribution analysis and updated the weekly revenue report for the Finance Division.
