Reporting directly to the CISO, I am responsible for the overall leadership and oversight for Security Operations and effectiveness of all security related programs and initiatives. I am also required to assess the costs associated to potential threats and solutions required to mitigate them.Core Accountabilities:- Own and manage the ongoing strategic development of the security program, providing oversight and support to the Security Operations Center, Threat and Vulnerability Management, Identity Access Management and Application Security teams.- Provide timely reporting of current threat intelligence, abnormal activities and incidents for executive review / action.- Lead technical security activities, such as incident escalation and tabletop exercises, including playbook development.- Accountability to assessment and approval events reporting to the security team.- Manage ongoing relationships with partners providing high quality services related to Security Operations.- Monitor and Assess the business needs against security concerns and recommend appropriate changes to enhance information systems security posture.- Review and enhance activities for IT risk control, with assurance of compliance to related frameworks (ISO 27k, CIS, NIST, etc), regulatory requirements (provincial, as required), policies and standards for operations and applications.- Preparation of reports to CISO on risk mitigation while identifying opportunities for security program development and maturity improvements.- Maintain team's focus to overall strategic objectives, prioritizing and aligning goals with on-going activities. - Maintain the professional development of all team members to ensure knowledge current towards emerging threats and mitigating actions. Provide mentorship as needed towards career advancement strategies.- Overall development towards implementation of org-wide security risk assessment and control standards, policies and procedures.

Naval Combat Information Operators are responsible for the operation of all shipboard surveillance radars and associated equipment of the shipboard intelligence, surveillance and recognizance systems.As members of the ship's Combat Information Organization, Naval Combat Information Operators assist and advise the ship's leadership in navigation, anti-air warfare, anti-surface warfare and anti-submarine warfare.
