David has been involved in real estate since 1999. Primarily focused on land development, he is most familiar with the acquisition, entitlement, and development of real property. As a developer, David focuses acquisition efforts in Los Angeles and Ventura Counties. While comfortable with numerous facets of the industry, he typically finds himself formulating development strategies and leading the design team in generating plans that respond to local market demand. David prepares the financial underwriting and due diligence for each property, and oversees the entitlement and land development process.In addition to his own projects, David has filled a niche with helping other development companies navigate local markets. This began at the onset of the 08 recession when he was retained by a developer to review, analyze, and reposition a community that was no longer viable. Since then, he has expanded that capacity and is now contracted to perform due diligence and financial underwriting packages, as well as formulate approval and development strategies for assets throughout various jurisdictions in southern California. David has also been responsible for managing the operational phase of projects from obtaining grading, improvement, and building permits, to general construction management. More recently, through his relationships at various agencies in California, David has been allocating more time to bond exoneration and project closeout responsibilities. David received his Masters of Real Estate Development (MRED) from the University of Southern California in 2004 and was awarded the D.J. Moore Award for outstanding academic achievement and professional promise. In 1999, he graduated cum laude from the University of California, Santa Barbara with a degree in Environmental Studies. Presently, he lives in Ventura County, serves on the Board of the Ventura County Sheriff Foundation, and maintains a California Brokers License.
