Ming in the 3rd person: As EF's Chief Culture Officer, Ming is a 'carrier of the company's unique culture'. WHAT? Don't worry, she is not diseased! EF's fast paced and entrepreneurial company culture has spawned a large, far flung organization (50k+ employees, 600+ offices/schools from Almaty to Zurich). In fact, as the world's largest privately held education company, EF still operates like a nimble start-up-ish 5o+ year old company. EF's most secret ingredient for being a great place to work is its cool culture. While she is not 'carrying the culture', Ming runs global marketing, branding, communications and propaganda. She has extensive experience with global and China consumer marketing. Her strengths: guerrilla marketing, strategic partnerships (we have a pro-cycling team, we have been a trusted Olympic supplier for 7 Olympic Games) and the fine art of copy writing and old-fashion content creation. She is a incurable multi-tasker, overseeing the creative team at EF as well as the head of EF Hong Kong's regional office. Prior to joining EF, Ming worked in television at Star TV and Turner Broadcasting before getting her MBA at Harvard Business School. She has co-authored 3 children's books (Sassparilla's New Shoes, Ling Ling Looked in the Mirror, and most recently Escape: One Day We Had To Run), spends way too much time looking at memes, and has run 80 marathons. She is a board member of Hult International Business School and The Keswick Foundation that funds non-profits in Hong Kong and China. She is also on the Advisory Council to The Asian American Foundation. Ming also serves as a Trustee for the Good Future Foundation, started by Good Notes to help educators thrive in an AI-infused world. Oh, yeah.
