CurrentAs a Software and System Design and Strategy Architect for z/OS computer networking technologies, I develop designs and architecture for next generation z/OS networking technologies and help z/OS customers get the most out of available networking technologies on z/OS and help them interoperate with various network fabrics used in data centers. I have broad knowledge of the z/OS TCP/IP stack, with specialty in network routing and connectivity and surrounding technologies and issues. I am also the product owner (architecture lead) for the IBM Configuration Assistant for z/OS Communications Server, which is a z/OSMF plug-in for generating configuration files for z/OS Communications Server.Past responsibilities in this role have included:Architecture lead for conversion of the z/OS TCP/IP stack and device drivers to 64-bit addressing mode. Designed the network line flow protocols for the Shared Memory Communications over RDMA technology, an application transparent RDMA over RoCE networking protocol that delivers high throughput, low latency and significant CPU efficiency with resilience for multi-tiered enterprise workloads. Served as Chief Architect for z/OS Communications Server V1R13, responsible for: determining release content and overseeing design and direction of line items taking into account multiple internal and external requirements and stakeholders plus budget realities, creating and reviewing announcement and marketing materials, working with other groups to resolve dependencies and requirements.
