We are responsible for configuring and monitoring all servers and workstations under the LCS system. These systems are Linux Red Hat and IBM AIX with Simulation environments running on Microsoft Windows environments. We are responsible for updating software, troubleshooting issues within the system as well as the network for the LCS system. Support consists of vehicle simulations as well as live hardware on site, including hazardous operations. We are also tasked with assisting the test teams as they enter the firing rooms to test their own software and displays against the LCS software to ensure compatibility.Orion and SLS SupportWe also provide this same support for our remote locations in Denver, CO, Houston, TX, and Huntsville, AL. These other locations are smaller sets designed as labs for the Multi-Purpose Crew Vehicle (MPCV), otherwise known as Orion and the SLS. IBM Spectrum ProtectThe Launch Control Center (LCC) does not only have the Firing Room that will launch Artemis I, it also utilizes two other Firing Rooms for development and verification. These rooms are used as test beds for the LCS software development teams. As these teams run tests on the software, they accrue a vast array of data.
