Information Technology System Network Administrator
CurrentAs a Systems Administrator at the State Attorney’s Office, I ensure the stable operation of our in-house computer network. My responsibilities include planning, developing, installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all network hardware, software, and communication links. I also analyze and resolve end-user hardware and software issues promptly and accurately, providing necessary user training. I collaborate on network design and capacity planning, conduct research on network products and protocols, and develop policies, procedures, and documentation for network administration and disaster recovery.I oversee the installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of end-user workstations, ensuring network connectivity and administering equipment upgrades. Interacting with vendors and contractors to secure network products and services is a key part of my role. Additionally, I co-manage servers, including email, print, and backup servers, and security solutions such as firewalls, anti-virus systems, intrusion detection systems, and multifactor authentication. My duties also involve performing server and security audits, system backups, and recovery, and maintaining network hardware like routers, switches, and wireless access points.Monitoring and testing network performance, providing performance statistics, and recommending improvements are also critical components of my job. I practice network asset management, including maintaining network component inventory and related documentation. My technical expertise includes Windows and Linux operating systems, Microsoft applications, and PowerShell scripting. I possess strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and a customer service orientation, enabling me to work effectively in a high-pressure, team-oriented environment.
