I have had a passion for nature ever since I was a little girl. Birds, animals (domestic or wild), plants and even rocks have always fasinated me. I spent a summer studying puffins and other seabirds on the Aleutian Islands in Alaska. Another summer studying song birds in the state forests in southern Ohio. I love the ocean and my career choice shifted to yacht care taking and refinishing. I sailed as a mate to Newfoundland and also to St Thomas, Virgin Islands where I was a care taker of a beautiful yacht for 6 months. I spent almost 5 years managing a private estate on Marths's Vineyard. This entailed maintaining four houses and two barns. I was responsible for the landscaping, taking care of horses, pigs, chickens, and dogs and making sure the entire property was in top shape. The owner had many high- profile guests stay on the property including the Clinton's, Stephen Tyler, Keith Richards, Kate Moss, Senator Chris Dodd and others. I also worked on an Oyster farm for a year raising and harvesting the shellfish for market. This entailed small boat handling, hauling gear, sorting oysters and many other things.Most recently I had my own yacht caretaking and refinishing company in Wickford, Rhode Island and have had a very sucessful business for 8 years.I am interested in being self-sustainable and all spects of environmentally friendly living. I have much knowledge from all my varied experiences and travels. I am a very hard working, reliable and trustworthy person who enjoys thinking "outside the box". I also enjoy working as a team and bouncing ideas around.
