CurrentManage the Conference and Event Services department for the main NIU--DeKalb campus. Oversee event operations in Altgeld Hall and the Barsema Alumni and Visitors Center; manage full-time, part-time, and student staff. Event management for corporate, social, academic, and student meetings and events for internal NIU groups and external clients. Coordinate university event logistics, as needed, for press conferences, university events, and participate on committees as needed.Position highlights: Committee member--President Freeman's Presidential Investiture; MGM movie filming coordination on the NIU campus; on-site support for four State of Illinois governor press conferences; plan events such as conferences, meetings, homecoming activities, weddings, fundraisers, celebration of life, proms, Quinceanera and everything in between. Facility Manager--Barsema Alumni and Visitors Center.
