​Born 1963 in Singapore, Theresa Yeong established Taiji.sg in 2014 as a Sole Proprietorship and subsequently converted it to a Private Limited company in March 2020.Theresa's Tai Chi journey began in 2005. In her early years, she was taught various competition forms, and focused mainly on the performance of routines, but soon realized it was true knowledge and not variety and exposure she was seeking.This led her in pursuit of deeper understanding of the martial art, and in 2014, she began practicing authentic Huang Style Tai Chi with Master Tay, progressing to Push Hands (推手) under his guidance by 2017. During this time, Theresa developed a whole new perspective on Tai Chi, and spent seven hours daily delving into every minute detail of the martial art. This eventually inspired her to make the pivotal decision of leaving her corporate career to focus on passing down the lineage of Huang Style Tai Chi, as well as create a straightforward teaching method with streamlined instructions that clearly convey the broad and profound principles of Tai Chi.As an instructor, Theresa’s unique strengths lie in her ability to connect with students of all ages and walks of life, as well as accurately identify and rectify errors to maximize the progress of students.Taiji learning is a lifelong pursuit. Theresa continues to research the art and refine her skills each day, with her teaching career beginning in 2014 as she shared her knowledge with those keen to learn, and to encourage more people to earnestly learn Taiji with correct concepts, foundation and mindset.​
