I sold Freedom Broadband to Towerstream Corporation effective 10/12/2021. It was a good run and I learned a lot about the industry, broadband public policy and how to best support people with technology. Grateful to focus 100% of my attention now on growing InfoPathways to be the leader in Biotechnology IT.

Governor Hogan signed legislation in May of 2017 to establish a 22 member task force to study and make recommendations regarding how rural counties in Maryland can work together to obtain federal assistance to improve internet, broadband, wireless and cellular services and accessibility. The Task Force will present its findings by November 30, 2017.

In May 2016, the Carroll County Board of Commissioners voted to create a long term advisory council. The membership base of the Long Term Advisory Council is now established with eight appointed community members. Clusters exist for key areas including business, education, agriculture, public safety, health & wellness, recreation, art and community services, technology.
