Provides leadership coaching and consultation to operations leaders at KIPP:Texas Public Schools

Oversee all operations functions of three schools on two sites serving over 1400 students. Areas of responsibility include direct management of Assistant School Leaders of Operations for each school, management of school-level transportation, food services, health services, facilities maintenance and custodial services, student data, student recruitment, front office, safety and emergency preparedness, purchasing and budgets, human resources, compliance, community partners, vendor relationships and more.

Facilitate sixth through eight grade students' success and confidence in math.

Lead instruction for kinder through twelfth grade students in the absence of the regular classroom teacher.

• Responsible for the strategic direction, operation, and evaluation of the Peacock Boys and Girls Club and Teen Center; collaborated with Advisory Council members, Salvation Army officers and staff, City of San Antonio leadership, community partners, and member families to make positive improvements to the program and facility• Transformed the after-school and summer program to integrate Boys and Girls Club of America's outcome-driven Formula for Impact model; as a result, in 2012, over 450 members were empowered to achieve academic success, demonstrate good citizenship and community involvement, and make healthy lifestyle choices. • Fostered a key partnership with Higgs Carter King Charter Academy which resulted in an over 120% increase in active membership in the after-school program combined with $10,000+ in contributed services, and an additional $15,000+ in tuition revenue.• Engaged staff in ongoing professional development for top quality implementation of program lessons aligned with The Salvation Army and Boys and Girls Club of America missions; this improved the club experience for club members and their families and resulted in a waiting list of 70+ youth for summer camp 2013.• Coordinated with the development team on fundraising, securing of grants, and fostering donor relations to ensure necessary income for program sustainability; was a key player in securing over $100,000 in grants/financial awards for our Boys and Girls Club.• Managed program income and expenses effectively; increased income by 24.1% from FY2011 to FY 2012 while increasing expenses by only 2.4% from FY2011 to FY2012.• Built relationships with local business who donated time, services, or goods to the organization.• Partnered with public and community entities to bring in new programs and opportunities for clients.• Increased awareness of the organization by participating in or speaking at various schools and community organizations.

• Managed all aspects of the business, including sales, marketing, purchasing, accounting, employing, training, and business planning.• Employed more efficient operations and superior customer service thereby increasing center revenue by 50% over prior year within our first year of acquisition.• Expanded business into off-site contract services and implemented difficult cost-cutting measures in order to maintain a viable business during the recession.• Partnered with fellow franchisees, successfully securing support from state representatives to allocate nearly $3,000,000 in TEA funds for the Texas Academic Innovation and Mentoring program, a statewide pilot partnership between Sylvan Learning and Texas Alliance of Boys and Girls Clubs.• Developed curriculum and managed logistics for the academic portion of the summer program at Texas Preparatory School as part of a partnership between Sylvan and the Boys and Girls Club.• Administered professional development for Sylvan staff leading to improved academic growth of students and provided training for local charter school teachers who ultimately facilitated their students in achieving higher scores on the Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills.• Participated in SLC Advertising Co-op of Austin by reviewing RFIs to select a media buyer, evaluating potential media partners, and determining the most effective media plan for our region.
