I am a VP for Clinical Strategy and Transformation at the I-PASS Patient Safety Institute and a per diem Quality and Safety Specialist Senior RN in the Value Institute at Dartmouth Health. I received my Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Vermont and my Master of Science in Nursing from Norwich University. I am a Certified Professional in Patient Safety (CPPS) and Lean Six Sigma Black Belt (LSSBB). I have worked in direct patient care as a clinical nurse in inpatient and acute rehabilitation settings, primarily focused on orthopedics and trauma. I have served in roles as a clinical nurse educator, clinical program coordinator, quality and safety specialist In my current role, and performance improvement consultant. I led performance improvement projects throughout Dartmouth Health, coach Yellow Belt and Green Belt students, and was an instructor in the Value Institute Learning Center. I led the implementation of the I-PASS standardized handoff method at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center for primary service providers, advanced practice providers, residents, fellows, nurses, and respiratory therapists in the inpatient, procedural, and perioperative care settings. Additionally, I am highly skilled in the application of the DMAIC process, root cause analysis and common cause analysis to drive systems improvements.
