About Therese Marie Smith

When I embarked on my coaching journey 20 years ago, I was encouraged to create a Life Vision statement. Despite questioning the importance of such an exercise, I created that vision statement. Now, two decades and many life experiences later, I am pleased to report that “what I do” is truly aligned with “who I am.” I guess the exercise was worthwhile after all. What's My Vision? It is a world where all people engage in healthy relationships based on trust and open communication; where creativity and continuous spiritual development are valued; where prosperity and peace come from helping others reach their full potential.As the Director of Education and Programs for a successful national service organization (MichBusiness, Best & Brightest Companies, and NABR), whose tagline by the way, is “Igniting Greatness in Companies and Their People,” I oversee peer discussion groups that provide a platform for communications among like-functioned professionals who are committed to ongoing professional development. I also oversee our organization’s leadership training programs that train experienced, new, and emerging leaders.In my private coaching practice, I work with executives and other leaders from all business sectors who are dedicated to their ongoing professional development and who want to be the best version of themselves. I also coach executives and other high-accountability professionals whose lives and careers have been impacted by addiction – theirs or someone close to them. As they blend coaching and recovery strategies, these leaders learn to assimilate the spiritual practice of recovery within their chosen professions and roles.
