I love a challenge with a touch of faith. Thinking about the future and the endless possibilities of the “what if’s” is what draws me to the next challenge in my life, having faith that there will always be some good regardless of the outcome.I realized I loved a challenge when I was in high school, my assistant principal challenged me to take a PLTW (Project Lead The Way) engineering class, Introduction to Engineering Design, claiming I would end up loving the class. At first, I hesitated, what I knew of engineering was that it meant work and required lots of math. Before I knew it I had taken three PLTW engineering classes and I was on my way to the University of North Charlotte at Charlotte to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. Some of my best experiences have come from challenging my abilities. In sophomore year I became the President of SHPE, an experience that taught me the value of leadership and a diversified team. Following that Summer’18, I obtained an opportunity at RS&H as a roadway engineering intern where I fell in love with the vision of my future projects being developed in modern society. Fast forward to Summer’19, I joined a leadership program for interns at Wells Fargo where I lived an opportunity to strengthen my character and develop my professional aptitude. Currently, I am continuing my education pursuing my Master of Science in Civil Engineering with a focus in Structural Engineering at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. I am enthusiastic for the next opportunity that arises to learn and build with my future colleagues as I aspire to obtain my PE and become a licensed professional engineer to continue building off the community for the future generations ahead. “Every great dream begins with a dreamer.
