TV is my life now, but BEFORE that...Before shows like "Bar Rescue" and "Bar Stakeout" made their way to cable TV, I was lending my 2 decades of experience to owners that needed help getting going, getting re-launched and those that wanted to see some changes.Sometimes, you need the outside set of eyes with a different set of experiences to stand back, look at what you have and say "These seem to be your three biggest contributing factors to your problems and this is what we need to do to change them".If you contract my services, I'm not afraid to tell you "you need to fire everyone" if that is truly what needs to happen. It's happened before and when it did, I personally stepped in to take over as manager, hired and trained a completely new staff and even cleaned every day. I would NEVER ask any employee to do something that I wouldn't do myself.Unfortunately, sometimes an owner gets so close to members of their staff that they can't cut ties when problems arise. They don't see the poor customer service or outright theft. Maybe there is a disparity between employees that is killing morale. Many times the root of a businesses problems come from treating an employee like family and treating someone that actually IS family worse that you would a regular employee.Overlooking terrible customer service, bad behaviors and poor practices will keep any business from growing and will drive a hospitality based business into the ground.
