I worked hands-on with the Senior Manager of Rodeo Austin editing contracts, creating maps and set up plans, and organizing contractors such as security, parking and labor. I oversaw set-up on the grounds, coordinated deliveries and set up daily to-do lists as well as co-edited a master to-do list that spans a 6 week period. I also assisted my supervisor in coordinating scholarship payments of $250,000 and managed a scholarship tribute event as well as a scholarship spotlight during the rodeo performances. I helped oversee turnovers in the show barn and arena. I also managed our septic provider during set up and coordinated an RV pumping schedule.

Casper, Wyoming

My responsibilities include keeping on top of results, notifying news media, writing feature stories, writing press releases and coordinating interviews. I also manned a media platform - pulling contestants, recording results and live-tweeting each performance.

Revamping sponsorship documents, conducting marketing research on rodeo consumers as well as potential brand partners and initiating media presence online while learning more about the public relations and marketing needs of rodeo stock contractors.

In addition to working at the barn itself, Andrea had the opportunity to help market and sell horses, come up with new marketing techniques to draw attention to the farm's services as well as come up with new ideas for promotional events for the farm.
