About Theron Kee (T.K.)
I enjoy making things better--helping people. Growing up on a farm taught me to be resourceful and creative.I remember in high school, I asked my dad if I could buy a motorcycle. He said, "No, it's too dangerous." So I asked if I could put an engine on my bicycle. He said, "Son, you'll never make that work." I took that as a challenge and found a way to accomplish the "impossible," in his eyes. I put a rototiller engine and washing machine transmission on that bike and took off on it around the farm.Later in life, a neighbor asked if I had an axle puller for his Lincoln, figuring it was a long shot. I said, "Sure!" and showed up with a chain. He said, "You can’t do that, it will just pull my car off the stands!" I connected the chain, gave it a flip, and the axle came right out. He discovered a new way to get things unstuck, serving him well in his job as a welder. That resourceful and creative philosophy has served me well over the years. No matter what the challenge, I believe it can be overcome. This ranges from solutions in technical issues, work flow, team building, morale, motivation, and training. When it comes to people, I find it fulfilling to see them achieve another level.I have had the great fortune of leading a technical training team of 35+. My leadership style enabled them to achieve beyond their own self-imposed limitations. And for 14+ years, I coached them into a cohesive and motivated team, delivering exceptional results. This same approach worked well with my international colleagues when we collaborated on course content and structure that easily adapted for many countries.Talk to me if you need to identify skill gaps, define specific competencies, outline learning paths, or other performance improvements. A recent Deloitte article concurs, stating that around 84% of companies were dissatisfied with standard training. Employees did not have the skills required after attending class. So, make my day. Give me a challenge!
