Directed business strategy and artistic vision for 30-year-old non-profit theater company's shift to 21st century paradigm. • AUDIENCE DEVELOPMENT: Achieved audience growth of over 50% by producing over 30 strategically planned classic and contemporary plays. Tripled donor contributions and doubled box office revenue. • NEW WORKS PROGRAM: Cultivated next generation playwrights, actors, directors. Campaigned on national level for artistic diversity.• FISCAL MANAGEMENT: Outperformed targets by eliminating debt and increasing operating revenue over 100%. Created cash-generating education program in acting, writing and directing.• GRANTS: National Endowment for the Arts, Theater Communications Group, San Francisco Arts Commission, and San Francisco Grants for the Arts. Served on numerous selection and governing committees for sister arts organizations and funding groups.• ARTISTIC DIRECTION: Directed numerous plays including a modernized re-make of Oscar Wilde's "The Importance of Being Earnest". Received critical acclaim for writing and directing original play "Fresh Off the Plane", which received a National Endowment for the Arts grant. • OPERATIONS: Introduced merchandising to create popular t-shirt and underwear line. Upgraded box office technology through digital ticketing and pricing optimization.• ARITST MANAGEMENT: Reconnected organization and established deep ties with original founders including Philip Kan Gotanda, David Henry Hwang, Amy Hill, George Takei, Jeannie Barroga and Tamlyn Tomita.
