Simplicollect is an IoT startup working in the agriculture space. The project involved integration with customer hardware devices to collect sensor data around the farming and greenhouse space. Sensor information contains things like humidity, temperature, etc. I architected a portal using Microsoft technology that displays sensor data, tags it and lets users save and share views of this data in a web and mobile-friendly platform.

AceLynk is a cloud company whose flagship product enables custom's brokers to file documentation to US customs electronically through the use of USCBP ABI & ACE systems. I formed the team offshore and supervise the execution of the construction of AceLynk. This includes design, development (web and integration) and testing and production support for the program.

We co-developed an embedded device that connects with existing Grid-Tie solutions in homes (mostly for the German market). The solution is a response to lowering buy-back tariffs in Germany and solves the problem by adding a battery bank to the GTI setup and charging it during the day when excess power is available. Grubb and Ellis is a properties management firm looking to provide visibility on the property to its owners. G&E envisioned a client property dashboard that showed clients key data on the properties. For e.g. how effectively space was being used in each property and how the overheads against properties varied overtime and across regions. These reports were then integrated with external data from the cloud (e.g. interest rate trends, analyst forecasts on property trends etc). The overall implementation spanned the development, validation of a basic architecture and a phased rollout of dashboards spanning several years. The end result was a centralized customer management and reporting portal for the 40 or so G&E Customers. The implementation involved the design, development, testing and support of the dashboards, reports, warehouse and the ETL processes for several of these dashboards.My role involved:- Strategic planning around the portal, customer buy in and planing out project delivery- Overseeing Implementation of the dashboard- Managing day to day support and administrative issues.

In the first phase a Customer Service Portal, a web based ASP.NET application was integrated with backend engineering Defect tracking systems running GNATS, an open source tool. The task involved writing a generic adapter for GNATS 4.0 Clients for BizTalk. This enabled an event driven process, that allowed mapping of information between the two systems. The project is to create a real time system for data analysis of sales at Virgin’s Record stores to prevent (minimize) losses from employee malpractice and theft.The work involves integration of the Existing Virgin Point of sale architecture (AS/400 based) with Microsoft BizTalk 2004. The data is integrated with other Virgin Information systems using business process orchestrations in BizTalk. Data is collected from these business processes at runtime to populate star schemas. Microsoft Analysis server is then used to perform OLAP analysis of the POS data to verify against business indicators for theft. The OLAP data is then presented using Microsoft Office web components with options to export in Excel desktop. Worked on developing a user driven form application that enabled users to create forms and submit them through an arbitrary approval flow. The application was built using ASP.NET and presented an Infopath like form designer with a built-in workflow engine.The form design could be constructed online and did not require a desktop front end.

Designed, Developed, tested and rolled out a hardware device that "learnt" Infrared signals from home appliance remote controls and stored them on onboard chip RAM. The learnt signal was reproduced when triggered through a network channel. The setup was used as part of a home automation solution that allowed smart-homes to control all audio visual devices from anywhere in the house.
